Primary Purpose: Provide supervision and leadership for the IDEA Public Schools Primary Principals and Program. Ensure alignment of the elementary curriculum and assessments of state standards and college-level preparation. Support, develop, and evaluate all Elementary Principals to ensure every campus has the best leadership for student achievement and safety.

Graduate school GPAs should not be used or averaged in with undergraduate GPAs. If you are hired by IDEA Public Schools and your final GPA falls below a 2.50, you will forego your position with IDEA Public Schools.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
The role of the Executive Principal for Elementary (EPE) is to supervise and manage the elementary principals toward high student achievement goals and a safe learning environment on all campuses. The EPE will directly manage Elementary Principals and evaluate their performance against their goals. He or she will also supervise a team of curriculum and assessment experts on the Academic Services Team to provide the district with a guaranteed and viable curriculum and reliable assessments to measure student progress toward goals. He or she will develop a strategic approach to the professional development of principals that fosters collaboration amongst the group, knowledge sharing, and differentiation. The EPE Program will work closely with the Chief Schools Officer to recruit and retain the instructional leadership throughout the district.

Goals:
-90% of all IDEA Public Schools students demonstrate mastery of state assessments
-90% of all students in all grade levels are at or above grade level standards in math, reading, writing science, and social studies
-other goals to be determined prior to the start of the academic school year

Specific Responsibilities/Tasks:

1. Oversee and evaluate the Elementary Principals and their campuses
2. Oversee the preparation and implementation of elementary curriculum and assessments
3. Recruit and retain the best principals on all campuses.
4. Analyze student achievement data to identify trends, strategize approaches to improve curriculum and instruction, and make recommendations to the Chief Schools Officer about the instructional leadership throughout the district.
5. Assist in duties as assigned by Chief Schools Officer.
