The Facility Manager is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility buildings and grounds. He/she is accountable for the training of the custodial & maintenance staff, and the management of the supplies, materials and equipment used in the day to day custodial/janitorial/maintenance operations. He assists the Operations Director with regards to safety, security and energy/utility management.  The Facilities Manager is on a 237-day contract.

Responsibilities:
1. Works for and is evaluated by the campus Operations Director
2. Communicates & coordinates routinely with the Director of Facilities & Construction on issues to include but not limited to relating to new hires, equipment, budget, contracted services, vendors and work orders to ensure consistency in practices across the district
3. Supervises, evaluates and manages the work of all assigned custodial, grounds and maintenance staff
4. Is responsible for the proper maintenance and storage of all related custodial and maintenance equipment and supplies
5. Monitors and is accountable for the proper usage, consumption and re-ordering of all custodial and maintenance supplies
6. Obtains proposals/quotes and creates purchase requisitions in support of the custodial/maintenance operations
7. Prepares various reports and provides copies to the Facilities & Construction Director as required.
