Description:
Responsible for attracting and engaging two high quality teacher candidates for each of 200 projected teacher position openings for the 2011-2012 school year in order to employ the talent IDEA requires in order to meet its student achievement goals of 100% college matriculation and TEA Exemplary rating as a district.

Outcomes:
1. Recruit 400 high quality teacher candidates by June 1, 2011
2. Screen teacher candidates to assist principals in selecting the best individuals to interview
3. Maintain IDEA’s online application system
4. Help principals find high quality candidates to fill vacancies during the year as needed

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Teaching experience, familiarity with the Rio Grande Valley, and Spanish fluency preferred
